The Stanley Rainsford Story
A free multimedia dance-theatre performance with a difference...
We were often asked in our morning group meetings at Missiondale’s rehabilitationcentre, “What superhero power would you like to have?”, to which I would repeatedly express,
“The power to never be misunderstood.” ... Well, this is my chance to be a superhero.
After three years, I have finally finished writing a book that God called me to write. It can be a difficult message for some, as the truth is not always easy to digest. I’ve been called to share this book with whomever wishes to read it, and paperback copies will be available in the theatre foyer after each show. But the Stanley Rainsford Story is not about my book... it’s the story about me, Mick.
After a lifetime of being a performing artist, now 50 years of age and having finally returned to my beautiful Tassie home, I wish to share what I have created within that lifetime and dance, one last time, for my family and friends.
It will be a journey of sights and sounds, acoustic songs with my guitar, crafty videos, and, of course, lots of me dancing... and, with the quirky loving guidance of my 3 little puppet friends, you’ll discover how God has touched all that I have created.
I believe it’s a performance that will touch many hearts.
So please come along... it’s free, and please stay afterwards for some nibbles & chats,
and please purchase one of my son’s debut cd singles titled ‘Thank You’
You’ll love River’s sound... I’m so proud of him 🤗
So, why is it called The Stanley Rainsford Story... well, come and find out.
